50 Anniversary Parade

Today I had the privilege to see the impressive parade our people commemorated the 50 anniversary of the proclamation of the socialist character of the revolution and the victory of Playa Girón.
Also started this day the Sixth Congress of the Communist Party of Cuba.
I enjoyed the detailed narration and music, gestures, faces, intelligence, martial and fighting spirit of our people to Mabelita in the wheelchair with the happy face, and children and adolescents in The Beehive multiplied several times.
It is worth having lived for the show today, and always worth remembering those who died to make this possible. At the beginning of the Sixth Congress this afternoon I could see, in the words of Raul and the faces of the delegates the best event of our Party, the same feeling of pride.
Could be in the Plaza, maybe an hour in the sun and the prevailing heat, but not three hours. Attracted by warmth was present, I would have created a dilemma.
Believe me, I felt pain when I saw that some of you looked me in the gallery. Thought everyone would understand that I can no longer do so often did.
I promised to be a soldier of ideas, and I can fulfill that duty yet.
